The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markovic lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Oliver circles away quickly and effectively.
As Markovic looks to move away, Oliver throws a big counter combo but Markovic just gets out of the way.
Markovic fails to land with a series of punches.
Markovic leaves Oliver with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Markovic instigates a clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Nice body punch from Markovic.
A body shot lands from Markovic.
Oliver has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Markovic is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Markovic blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Markovic manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Markovic dives in for a single leg takedown but Oliver sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Markovic comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Oliver tries to land a front kick but Markovic steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Markovic throws a counter combo.
Oliver throws a nice inside leg kick.
Markovic looks to land a combination but Oliver avoids it well.
Oliver was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Markovic rushes Oliver and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Oliver is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Markovic is keeping busy.

Markovic tries to pass the half guard into mount. Oliver knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Markovic postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Oliver covers up, he's hurt! Markovic keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Markovic and the ref steps in to end the fight! Markovic can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
