Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giovanni Chase (ranked 23817 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Baker (ranked 5867 p4p, 635 weight class). Matthew Baker will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Baker is looking to stall here but Chase recovers full guard.
Baker wants to stand and escape but instead Chase has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Baker has momentary wrist control but Chase slips an elbow through the middle.

Chase decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Chase is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Chase stands up over Baker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Chase will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Chase working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Baker's head.

Baker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chase doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chase manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Chase manages to pull guard.
Baker looking to sit in guard and control but Chase gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Baker wants to sweep here but Chase controlling him for the moment.

Baker wants to hit a switch here but Chase passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Baker there!
