The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kobayashi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Higashi as he jumps to the side.
Kobayashi tries to clinch up.
Higashi moves in looking to clinch but Kobayashi pushes him off.

Kobayashi stops Higashi from getting back to his feet.
Higashi is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Kobayashi is breathing heavily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Higashi scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Kobayashi manages to mount him!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kobayashi keeps control of the position easily here as Higashi tries to buck him off.
Kobayashi sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Higashi taps out!
