Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pat Michaels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bryan Sall!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michaels throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sall was covering up waiting for the punch and Michaels finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Sall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Michaels. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Michaels looking to pass the guard.
Sall preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Sall scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Sall throws a leg kick but Michaels checks it.
Sall closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Michaels quickly recovers to half guard.
Sall throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Sall decides to return to a standing position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sall takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Michaels gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Michaels is trying to break the clinch but Sall is controlling him.
Sall lands an elbow just above Michaels 's eye.
Michaels is trying to break free.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Michaels misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Sall.
Michaels wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sall has him pressed against the cage.
A short right from Sall on the inside.
Nice body punch from Sall - that landed with a thud.
Michaels lands an elbow just above Sall 's eye.
Michaels is trying to force a seperation but Sall has the dominant position.
Sall pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Michaels.
Michaels throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Michaels tried to score with a low kick but Sall checks it.
Sall drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Michaels is rocked!
Sall arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Michaels's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
