Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aristides Abel (ranked 3836 p4p, 421 weight class) and Mihai Viteazul (ranked 4498 p4p, 478 weight class). Abel kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Express Yourself. Viteazul is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Capul lui Mihai Viteazul. Aristides Abel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aristides Abel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mihai Viteazul!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viteazul throws a body shot but no joy.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Abel, as that shot connected.
Abel's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Abel duly obliges.
Abel takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Abel tests Viteazul's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Donk. Viteazul catches Abel right on the button with a cross.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Abel, right into the meat.
A big left from Viteazul misses.
Viteazul tries to move into range but Abel moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Abel takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Viteazul throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Abel appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Viteazul misses with a series of wild punches.
Viteazul connects with a single shot there.
Abel is looking to land body kicks.
Abel cracks Viteazul with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Abel misses with a looping left.
Aristides Abel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Viteazul jabs Abel to the body, keeping him at a distance.
We've been told by Abel's head coaches at Total Impact MMA/KT that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Viteazul is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Abel rather than just go for the knockout.
No joy there for Viteazul, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Abel takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Abel misses with a two punch combination.
Viteazul has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Viteazul blocks a jab.
Viteazul looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Abel's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Viteazul connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Abel scrambles back to his feet.
Abel misses with a straight left.
Abel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

A telegraphed right hand from Abel misses the target.
Viteazul takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Abel on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Abel scores with a jab to the body.
Viteazul moves forwards but Abel connects with a nice, crisp jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Abel cracks Viteazul with a good jab.
Viteazul is rocked!
Abel is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Viteazul misses with a takedown
and Abel counters with a big right hand! Oh Viteazul is in trouble here! Abel follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aristides Abel!
After the fight, Aristides Abel was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
