Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Vee (ranked 46 p4p, 3 weight class) and Michael Proctor (ranked 405 p4p, 39 weight class). Vee comes to the cage accompanied by Da Mystery of Chessboxin by Wu-Tang Clan. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Proctor!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Franklyn Lucas and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Proctor connects with a nice looking jab.
Proctor throws a good cross that connects.
Brandon Vee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vee staying out of range there.
Proctor throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Vee on the side of the head.
Vee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Proctor manages to avoid it.
Proctor takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Vee throws a predictable looking body shot
and Proctor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Vee tries to close the distance and clinch but Proctor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Vee misses with a hook. Proctor ducked under it nicely.

Vee drops Proctor with a left right combo! Vee follows him down to the ground into side control.

Proctor is rocked!

It looks like Michael Proctor has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Proctor is looking to regain half guard here but Vee keeps moving and retains side control.
Proctor is still in real trouble! Can Vee finish him?

Vee decides to stand back up.
Proctor seems to have recovered his senses.

Vee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Vee uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Proctor.
Proctor is looking to chop away at Vee's legs.
Proctor misses with an uppercut.
Vee is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Vee throws a shot from downtown. Proctor moves away and avoids it.
Proctor drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Vee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Proctor manages to avoid it.
Proctor throws a sloppy head kick and Vee moves out of range easily.
Vee throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Vee throws a hook to the side of Proctor's head but Proctor sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Vee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Proctor! But no joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vee swings for the body but Proctor moves out of range.
Proctor missing with a left hand there. Vee was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Vee jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Proctor takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The fighters circling - Vee throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Vee with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Proctor connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Vee's hands.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vee misses with a looping left.
Proctor steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Proctor tries to land a front kick but Vee steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Vee scores with a shot to the body.
Proctor avoids the body shot from Vee.
Proctor blocks a jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vee lands a slapping body shot.
Nice defenses there by Proctor.
Vee moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromProctor.
Vee swings widly with a right hand
and Proctor cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Vee throws an off balance right hand
and Proctor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Vee fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Proctor throws a jab when Vee was well out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Vee. Proctor does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vee thows a left - swing and a miss!

Proctor tries to keep at a distance but Vee has taken the fight into the clinch.
Proctor misses with a short punch on the inside.
Vee misses with a punch to the body.

Vee lands a right hand.
Vee scores with a hook to the body.
Proctor looks winded!
Vee scores with a shot to the side of Proctor's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vee lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Proctor backwards.
Vee tries a body shot but Proctor blocks it.
A right handed body shot lands from Vee.
Vee lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Proctor.
Vee pushes Proctor back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Still in the clinch, Vee scores with a nice short uppercut.
Vee lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Proctor backwards.
Vee tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Vee is working Proctor over against the cage.
Vee pushes Proctor back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Vee softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Vee lands with a right to the head.

Vee lands a big left hand right to the temple and Proctor goes down!

Vee gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vee closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Proctor out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
