The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredericks shoots in looking for a takedown. Rubio tries to sprawl out of it but Fredericks keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rubio manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rubio tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fredericks paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rubio connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

and Rubio counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rubio.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Rubio.

It looks like George Fredericks has been cut.

That has opened up George Fredericks's cut even more.
Come on Rubio - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Rubio is pushing Fredericks up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Enoch Rubio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Fredericks.
