The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirby displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Spicoli throws out the jab.
Kirby lands a nice hook to Spicoli's body. Spicoli takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kirby swings for the body but Spicoli moves out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Spicoli on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Kirby forces Spicoli back against the cage and clinches.
Stalling in the clinch from Kirby.
Kirby misses with a short punch on the inside.
Kirby prevents a body shot from Spicoli.
Kirby blocks an uppercut.

Spicoli manages to break the clinch.
Spicoli thows a left - swing and a miss!

Kirby closes the distance and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kirby misses with the head strike.
Kirby's coach down at Island Safe Space was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kirby's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A short body shot lands from Kirby as the two fighters clinch.
Spicoli lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kirby or not.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Spicoli.

Kirby throws a punch but it's blocked by Spicoli.

Spicoli tries to work over Kirby's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Spicoli's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kirby gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Spicoli.

Kirby moves into range and clinches up with Spicoli.

and Spicoli cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Lani Kirby has been cut.
Spicoli drops Kirby with a naaaaasty hook - Kirby is in real trouble here! Spicoli dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
