Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shinya Aoki (ranked 5346 p4p, 373 weight class) and Segey Taranin (ranked 4032 p4p, 311 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 25 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shinya Aoki !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Segey Taranin!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Taranin.

Aoki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Taranin wants to sweep but no luck.

Taranin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Aoki escapes and throws Taranin's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Taranin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Taranin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Aoki does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Aoki is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Taranin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Aoki is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at London MMA Club that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Aoki is trying to control but can't.
Taranin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Taranin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Aoki with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Taranin cracks Aoki with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Taranin postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Aoki bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Taranin and the fight is over!

A very excited looking Segey Taranin rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
