Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kengo Ho Park (ranked 4927 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tarek Hamdi (ranked 7407 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kengo Ho Park!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tarek Hamdi!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Park dives in for a single leg takedown but Hamdi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Park throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like Tarek Hamdi has been cut.
Park darts in looking for a takedown but Hamdi gets double underhooks and turns Park into the cage.
Park lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Hamdi avoids the head kick by Park.
Hamdi throws a right and a left that both miss.
Park is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Hamdi.

Hamdi has picked Park up - he's going for a ride! Hamdi dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hamdi is looking for a kimura but Park is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hamdi to get the leverage.
Park wants to improve his position but Hamdi is controlling well.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Hamdi tries to close the distance and clinch but Park swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hamdi takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Park plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Hamdi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Park shoots in for a takedown but Hamdi shows good takedown defense.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hamdi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Park tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hamdi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Park shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hamdi as he jumps to the side.

The crowd cheers as Park lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hamdi doesn't seem phased though.

Hamdi tries a quick counter leg kick but Park is wise to it.
Kengo Ho Park is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hamdi has his foot on Park's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Park works his way back into a safe position though.

Hamdi seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Park breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Park rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hamdi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Park is looking to stand up but Hamdi isn't so interested in that idea.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
