Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tongchai Nongkee Kulabdam (ranked 5126 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trenton Diaz (ranked 25360 p4p, 0 weight class). Kulabdam has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. This should be fireworks!

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kulabdam manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kulabdam tries to clinch there but Diaz circles away.
Kulabdam has his takedown stuffed
and Diaz counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kulabdam is breathing heavily.
Diaz lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Diaz shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Diaz showed some decent athleticism there.

Diaz is looking for a kimura but Kulabdam is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Diaz to get the leverage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Diaz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kulabdam's head.
Diaz content to control rather than advance.
Diaz's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kulabdam knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground.

Diaz wants to stand but Kulabdam has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Diaz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ground and pound from Diaz seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Diaz is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kulabdam is trying to escape and Diaz transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kulabdam is forced to tap! Nice work there by Diaz! Very nice indeed!
