Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyrian Lanaster (ranked 3454 p4p, 295 weight class) and Minkki Jakku (ranked 3341 p4p, 285 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyrian Lanaster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Minkki Jakku!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jakku looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Lanaster is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lanaster has hold of Jakku's hands but Jakku slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Lanaster tries to roll over but Jakku keeps him under control.

Jakku is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lanaster doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jakku.
Lanaster slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Lanaster will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lanaster has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jakku can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jakku not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Lanaster is looking for a triangle but Jakku pushes his legs off easily.
Jakku works over Lanaster with some ground and pound from guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jakku postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Lanaster throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jakku escapes and throws Lanaster's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lanaster is looking to reverse the position.

Jakku is trying to get an arm triangle but Lanaster is defending well.

Lanaster manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jakku's best efforts.
Jakku is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Jakku thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lanaster's head.

Jakku is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lanaster sees it coming and defends easily.

Jakku is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lanaster is just riding it out for now. Jakku eventually gives up the hold.
Jakku missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Jakku looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lanaster with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Lanaster is looking for a sweep. Jakku is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jakku drops an elbow to the side of Lanaster's head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jakku is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jakku tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Lanaster.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Minkki Jakku dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lanaster escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jakku gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jakku is posturing up here but Lanaster has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Jakku tries to roll out but it's too tight and Jakku has to tap! Slick submission there by Lanaster!
