Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sven Ludwig (ranked 1168 p4p, 140 weight class) and Bruno Brunatny (ranked 2072 p4p, 258 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brunatny lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ludwig circles away quickly and effectively.

Ludwig fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brunatny sprawls well initially but Ludwig persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ludwig stands up over Brunatny, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Brunatny wants to control the position but Ludwig says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Ludwig lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Ludwig slips a nice elbow through Brunatny's hands, connecting with Brunatny's forehead.
Brunatny is staying active underneath Ludwig, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Ludwig is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Brunatny is rocked!
Ludwig lands a big elbow - Brunatny is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Ludwig!

In his post fight interview, Sven Ludwig started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
