Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jackson Starling!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Lou da Vinci and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starling on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Wilson clinches up against the cage.
Starling's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!


It looks like Jackson Starling has been cut.
Wilson lands a shoulder strike.
Wilson softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Starling fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Starling jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wilson walks away with a smile on his face. Starling gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Wilson throws a left that rocks Starling and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Wilson dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Starling regain composure!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Starling bucks up and tries to throw Wilson off but instead Wilson has got his back!
Starling is still in real trouble! Can Wilson finish him?
Wilson is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Starling trying to get back to his feet but Wilson is in full control for now.
Starling seems to have recovered his senses.
Wilson controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Starling felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Starling is trying to get back to his feet but Wilson has full control of the position and if anything, Starling has just worked his way into a worse spot.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Wilson controlling the positon.
Starling trying to get back to his feet but Wilson is in full control for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wilson just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Starling is trying to get back to his feet but Wilson has full control of the position and if anything, Starling has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Starling is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Wilson.

Wilson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Starling tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Wilson lands a hook that snaps the head of Starling backwards.
Wilson lands an uppercut.
Starling is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Wilson to keep the fight standing.

Wilson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Starling can do to turn this around?

Wilson has Starling pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Wilson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Starling tumbling to the mat - Wilson dives into Starling's guard.
Wilson is standing up over Starling. Starling looks to escape but Wilson dives into side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wilson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Starling will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Wilson stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Starling closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wilson circles away.
Sam Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Starling.

Wilson takes the fight into the clinch.

Starling jumps into guard, dragging Wilson to the mat.
Starling wants to stand up but Wilson is controlling him.

Wilson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Starling, up you get!
Sam Wilson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Wilson instigates a clinch.
Sam Wilson has scored more points in the clinch so far.
Wilson lands a right hand that snaps the head of Starling backwards.


That has opened up Jackson Starling's cut even more.
Starling jumps guard but Wilson stands there with Starling around his waist. Starling gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Starling is breathing heavily.
Starling takes a shot to the head.
Wilson lands with a short shot to the head.
Wilson pushes Starling back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wilson successfully pulls guard.

Wilson has his feet on Starling's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Wilson dances in with a quick combination. Starling is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Wilson snaps Starling's head back. Starling stumbles backwards against the cage. Wilson steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Starling's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Starling just didn't come prepared.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sam Wilson!
Sam Wilson seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
