Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ike Anthony (ranked 5876 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Rivas (ranked 5723 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ike Anthony!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jesus Rivas!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rivas tries to keep at a distance but Anthony has taken the fight into the clinch.
Rivas trying to control the position but instead, Anthony has worked for underhooks and has pushed Rivas into the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Anthony as Rivas tries to tie him up.
Rivas jumps guard but Anthony turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rivas tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Anthony stuffs the takedown attempt from Rivas. Rivas gets slowly back to his feet.

Anthony shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Anthony was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Anthony thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Anthony swings around for an armbar but Rivas sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Anthony's guard.

Anthony wants to stand and escape but Rivas is having none of it.
Anthony really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rivas is fighting to break Anthony's control of his arms but Anthony is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Rivas looking to sit in guard and control but Anthony gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Anthony controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Anthony is in close to Rivas's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Anthony will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Anthony is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Rivas - that will leave a mark!
Rivas fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Anthony avoids it really well and circles away.
Rivas shoots in for a double leg but Anthony sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rivas tries to clinch up but Anthony circles away and keeps his distance.

Anthony goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Rivas rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Anthony's guard! Nice work there by Rivas!

Anthony has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Rivas is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Rivas wants to break free but Anthony has control.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Anthony has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Rivas regains guard immediately.

Anthony not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Anthony seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rivas for as long as he can get away with.

Anthony stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Anthony wants it to stay on the feet.

Anthony manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rivas manages to get himself to full guard.

Anthony slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Anthony lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rivas is wriggling around but Anthony manages to pass to half guard.
Anthony has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Anthony seems to be working for a kimura but Rivas defends the submission attempt.

Anthony is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rivas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Anthony.
Jesus Rivas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ike Anthony is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
