Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Nasty (ranked 4406 p4p, 369 weight class) and Marshall Sasquacth (ranked 6939 p4p, 482 weight class). Nasty comes to the cage accompanied by Green Hell. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sasquacth enables Nasty to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sasquacth manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Nasty works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Sasquacth is refusing to be controlled, as Nasty sits in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nasty with the ground and pound but Sasquacth uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Sasquacth is trying to keep Nasty in close.
Nasty showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Nasty has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sasquacth has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nasty can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Nasty has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sasquacth's face.
Nasty is landing with some decent strikes but Sasquacth is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nasty lands a big shot there that rocks Sasquacth but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

It looks like Marshall Sasquacth has been cut.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sasquacth can do anything to dispel that myth.

Nasty goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Sasquacth is on top in guard.

Sasquacth postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Sasquacth controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Nasty goes for a double leg but Sasquacth avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sasquacth continues to drive forward.

Nasty fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nasty tries to clinch up but Sasquacth circles away and keeps his distance.
Sasquacth scores with a jab to the jaw.
Sasquacth tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nasty was well out of range. Poor timing from Sasquacth.
Sasquacth throws a sloppy head kick and Nasty moves out of range easily.
Nasty was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Sasquacth closes the distance and clinches up with Nasty, looking for a takedown. Sasquacth pushes Nasty against the cage but Nasty circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Sasquacth stands up over Nasty, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Nasty had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sasquacth defends it easily.

Nasty fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Sasquacth moves into the clinch successfully.

Sasquacth's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sasquacth shoots in for a takedown but Nasty shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sasquacth lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nasty circles away quickly and effectively.
Nasty shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sasquacth defends it nicely.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sasquacth! But no joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Nasty. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sasquacth has closed the distance and engaged Nasty in a clinch.

Nasty manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Sasquacth is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Sasquacth tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nasty swivels and escapes.

Nasty shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sasquacth's guard.

Sasquacth throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Nasty escapes and throws Sasquacth's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Sasquacth is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Nasty asserts his dominance and retains side control.
