The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry thuds a left hand into Frinton Smith's body.
Perry dives in for a single leg takedown but Frinton Smith sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
Frinton Smith scores with a jab to the jaw.
Nice body kick there by Perry.
Perry moves into range and connects with a jab.
Perry throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Frinton Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Perry manages to avoid it.
Nice defenses there by Perry.
Frinton Smith on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
It looks like Hugh Frinton Smith has been cut.
Perry scores with a body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Perry lands a big head kick that sends Frinton Smith tumbling to the mat! Perry takes a step backwards and waves Frinton Smith back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Frinton Smith is rocked!
Perry scores with a spinning back kick!
Oh Frinton Smith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Frinton Smith is breathing heavily.
Perry changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Frinton Smith tries to avoid it but Perry manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Frinton Smith to the ground. Frinton Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Perry comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Frinton Smith seems to have got his legs back now.
Perry shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Frinton Smith as he avoids it easily.
Hugh Frinton Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Katy Perry.
Frinton Smith stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Perry.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Crunch! Perry slams his shin into Frinton Smith's torso.
Perry lands a big uppercut and Frinton Smith crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Frinton Smith looks OK. Perry waves Frinton Smith back to his feet!
Perry jabs Frinton Smith to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Perry tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Frinton Smith manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A quick step to the side and Frinton Smith tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Perry is looking to slow Frinton Smith down with leg kicks.
Frinton Smith tries to clinch but Perry moves out of range.
Perry cracks Frinton Smith with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Perry has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Frinton Smith to stand back up!

Frinton Smith throws a predictable looking body shot
and Perry counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Frinton Smith badly! Perry follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Frinton Smith out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Perry finished him against the ropes.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Katy Perry!
Katy Perry tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
