The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karstark lands with a nice body punch.

Sloppy strikes from Murphy. Those never looked like landing.
Karstark jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Murphy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Karstark as he jumps to the side.

Karstark ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Murphy moves into the clinch successfully.
Karstark looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Murphy has Karstark pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Karstark manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Murphy has Karstark pressed against the cage, preventing Karstark from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Murphy keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Karstark's efforts to push away.

Karstark lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Murphy backs up against the cage.
Murphy shoots in and drives through. Karstark sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Murphy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Karstark lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Karstark connects with a good right hand that stumbles Murphy. Murphy circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Karstark works over Murphy's head and body with a nice combination.

Karstark swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Horrible takedown attempt by Murphy or perhaps it was just good defense by Karstark, which made it look bad.

Karstark walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Murphy drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Karstark swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Murphy's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
