Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnson Pace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Erik Kronen!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pace lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kronen circles away quickly and effectively.
Kronen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Pace feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pace with a nice head shot there.
Pace postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Pace postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Pace is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Pace avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pace content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Pace makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Pace is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Pace keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kronen's head.

Pace gets to his feet - Kronen follows without any prompting.

Pace scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Pace works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Pace tries for a kimura but Kronen is defending well.

Pace wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kronen, who protects the arm well.

Pace thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kronen taking punishment in the form of punches.

Pace decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kronen to his feet.

Pace has taken the fight to the clinch.

Pace drags the fight down to the ground.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Pace holds on and takes a little breather.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pace wants to sweep here but Kronen controlling him for the moment.
Pace has control of Kronen's left arm, preventing Kronen from doing any damage.
Pace has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Pace is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kronen has hold of Pace's hands but Pace slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Pace is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kronen is just riding it out for now. Pace eventually gives up the hold.

Pace is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Pace is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kronen has managed to free his arm - good work.
Pace is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Pace lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Pace looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kronen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kronen is defending against the submission attempts here by Pace.

Pace is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kronen sees it coming and defends easily.

Pace seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kronen is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
