Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danial Beasley (ranked 5943 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naito Senju (ranked 7681 p4p, 646 weight class). Naito Senju has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beasley takes the fight into the clinch.
Senju tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Senju manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Beasley is looking to stand up but Senju won't let him.
Beasley landing with the ground and pound.
Beasley content to stall in guard here.

Beasley working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Senju's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beasley won't allow Senju to sweep him here.

Beasley seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Beasley lands a couple of digs.
Beasley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Beasley wants to get up but he can't break Senju's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Beasley is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Beasley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Senju on the ground.

Beasley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Beasley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Senju looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Beasley gets to his feet - Senju follows without any prompting.

Senju got a little sloppy there for a moment and Beasley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Senju has managed to get both his arms back between Beasley's legs - danger averted.

Beasley has his foot on Senju's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Senju works his way back into a safe position though.
