Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Extor Ace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell's entrance music is DMX. A fine choice. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charlie Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Extor Ace!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ace lands a right hook to the body.
Ace throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Ace fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Liddell looks to land a body kick but Ace moved away.
Ace closes the distance and clinches up with Liddell, looking for a takedown. Ace pushes Liddell against the cage but Liddell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ace fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ace tries to work over Liddell's front leg with a kick but Liddell checks it.
Ace is looking to land body kicks.
Ace takes a swing at Liddell's ribcage but misses.
Liddell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ace.
Liddell keeps the fight on the outside.
Ace throws a hook to the side of Liddell's head but Liddell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ace shoots in for a double leg but Liddell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Charlie Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Extor Ace.
Ace fails with the takedown.

Ace tries to close the distance and clinch up but Liddell swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Charlie Liddell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ace fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ace rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Liddell moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ace misses with an uppercut.
Ace throws a body punch but Liddell moves out of range.
Ace tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Liddell swivels and escapes.

Ace wants to land a leg kick but Liddell is out of range.
Ace throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Liddell's waist but Liddell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ace off to one side.

Ace closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.


It looks like Extor Ace has been cut.

Liddell wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Ace looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ace with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Liddell to score with a decent uppercut.
Liddell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ace swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Liddell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ace avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ace gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Liddell.
Ace uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Liddell.
Liddell keeps the fight on the outside.
Ace misses with a takedown attempt - Liddell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Liddell bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ace's head.
Ace shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Liddell as he avoids it easily.
Ace misses with an uppercut.
Ace misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Liddell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Liddell throws a big shot that misses.
Ace is trying desperately to land a takedown but Liddell is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Ace.
Ace is looking to clinch.
Ace throws a body punch but Liddell moves out of range.
Ace misses with a combination
and Liddell counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ace moves out of range as Liddell strikes.
Ace misses the body punch
and Liddell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ace throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Liddell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


That has opened up Extor Ace's cut even more.
Extor Ace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ace looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Liddell is fending him off so far but Ace persists. Nope, Liddell circles away and we're back to standing.
Liddell is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Liddell closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Liddell lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Ace throws out a loose jab but Liddell uses good head movement to avoid it.
No luck for Ace with that takedown attempt.
Ace misses with a double jab
and Liddell counters with a good low kick that Ace was not able to check.
A swing and a miss from Ace.
Liddell connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Liddell cracks Ace with an open hand slap.
Nice uppercut there from Liddell.


The cut above Extor Ace's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Liddell staying out of range there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Liddell is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ace can do to turn this around?

Ace takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Liddell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ace is breathing heavily.
Liddell connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Ace fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Liddell sprawls well initially but Ace persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ace working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Liddell manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes.

Ace lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Liddell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Liddell tries to get out of the position.
Liddell wants to control but Ace is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Liddell wants to get back to his feet.
Ace is thwarting Liddell's attempts to control the position.
Liddell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ace on the ground.

Liddell is trying to maintain the position but Ace is very close to passing his half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ace connects with a nice short shot to Liddell's temple.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ace landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Ace shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Liddell but Liddell pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The fighters circle momentarily. Liddell darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

and Liddell counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Liddell avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ace tries to close the distance and clinch but Liddell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ace throws a right and a left that Liddell avoids nicely.

Ace gets a takedown into half guard.

Extor Ace has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Charlie Liddell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Liddell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
