Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Manu Peralta (ranked 6320 p4p, 434 weight class) and Connar Scanlan (ranked 25369 p4p, 552 weight class). Peralta's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Moke boy - Hawaiian kickboxer. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peralta closes the distance and clinches up with Scanlan, looking for a takedown. Peralta pushes Scanlan against the cage but Scanlan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Scanlan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Peralta - the referee stops the clock and Scanlan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Peralta. Scanlan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

As Scanlan looks to move away, Peralta throws a big counter combo but Scanlan just gets out of the way.

Peralta shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Scanlan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peralta not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Peralta has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Peralta is pushing down on Scanlan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Scanlan is fighting to maintain full guard but Peralta has managed to sneak the leg through.

That was a close round but I would say that Manu Peralta will probably get the nod.
