Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Red Nose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cory Scott has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Red Nose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cory Scott!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nose misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nose blocks the body kick.
Scott fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Scott is looking to clinch.
Scott closes the distance and clinches up with Nose, looking for a takedown. Scott pushes Nose against the cage but Nose circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Scott checks the leg kick.

Scott gets a clinch.
Scott has had enough of the clinch but Nose keeps him there for the moment.
Nose lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Scott backwards.
Nose drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nose presses Scott against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Nose really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Nose is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Red Nose. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Come on Scott - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Nose breaks the clinch.
Nose fails with the takedown

and Scott counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Scott throws a strike but Nose rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Nose trying to control but Scott is working from the bottom.
Scott looking for a sweep. Not yet Scott, not yet.
Scott is trying to control the position but Nose postures up.

Nose is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Scott seems keen to control Nose's posture.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Nose is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Scott shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Nose is breathing heavily.
Nose is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Scott is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Nose can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Nose tries to lock up and control but Scott gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Nose is desperately trying to improve his position but Scott has a good base and remains in mount.

Scott working the ground and pound effectively.
Nose wants to control but Scott is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Scott is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Nose tries to hold on but Scott pushes him away.
Scott looking to control but Nose is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Scott wants to control but Nose has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
Nose pushes Scott off looking to stand but Scott dives back in and keeps control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Scott lands a nice short elbow.
Nose wants to control but Scott is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Nose looks like he's trying to stand up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nose gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Scott counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Scott wants to clinch up but Nose keeps it at a distance.

Nose wants to control from the top but Scott keeps moving.

A close round but Cory Scott will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Nose closes this distance looking for a takedown but Scott circles away.
Scott throws a left and a right that both miss

and Nose counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Scott!
Nose trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Scott is looking to get to half guard.
Nose lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Scott hang on?

Scott sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nose thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Nose trying to control the position from guard on top but Scott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nose throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Scott working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Nose.
Scott looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Scott keeping moving, preventing Nose from controlling successfully.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Nose swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Scott moves into range and clinches up with Nose.
Scott tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Nose breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nose feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Scott's calf.
Nose jabs at Scott's body.
Nose tries to clinch there but Scott circles away.
Scott wants to clinch
letting Nose counter with a right hand.
Scott is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Nose looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Scott has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nose is working away from the top position though.

Scott tries to get to full guard but Nose has control of the leg.
Nose keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Nose is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Nose works his foot free and advances to mount.
Scott tries to lock up and control but Nose gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Nose looking to control but Scott is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Nose has hold of Scott's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Scott manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Scott is trying to escape the mount.
Scott is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Nose raining down shots from the mount!
Nose controlling the position easily from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Red Nose dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Red Nose overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nose accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Nose cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Scott is squirming around, avoiding Nose's attempts to control the action.

Nose has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Scott's face.

Scott tries to reverse the position but Nose maintains control.
Nose has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
