Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Barathian (ranked 590 p4p, 73 weight class) and Dieter Schmidt (ranked 1257 p4p, 163 weight class). Barathian comes to the cage accompanied by Anderswelt - Schandmaul. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmidt moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Schmidt thuds his shin into the meat of Barathian's side.
Schmidt throws a head kick that misses.
Barathian definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Schmidt throws a leg kick but Barathian moved away.

It looks like Dieter Schmidt has been cut.
That kick from Barathian tenderised Schmidt's leg. Schmidt is trying to keep his angry face on.

Schmidt's corner calls for a 1-2. Schmidt obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Schmidt walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Barathian checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Barathian was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Schmidt is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Schmidt scores with a jab to the head.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Barathian crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Schmidt - the referee stops the clock and Barathian gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Schmidt. Barathian manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Schmidt lands a nice leg kick that just misses Barathian's sensitive parts.

Schmidt throws a low kick but it's checked well by Barathian.
A little feinted left hand from Barathian on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Barathian displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Schmidt throws out the jab.

Barathian fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Schmidt looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Schmidt.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Schmidt, as that shot connected.
Barathian turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Schmidt throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Schmidt throws a hook but Barathian blocks it.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Schmidt lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Barathian has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Barathian and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Dieter Schmidt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Barathian lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Schmidt backwards.

That has opened up Dieter Schmidt's cut even more.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Schmidt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Schmidt drops his hands for a split second and Barathian immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Schmidt face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Barathian follows up with a right hand that knocks Schmidt into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
