Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bob Madden (ranked 1612 p4p, 200 weight class) and Jorginho Marcelo (ranked 1829 p4p, 220 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Madden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jorginho Marcelo!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcelo fails with the takedown
and Madden counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Madden.
Madden trying to control the position from guard on top but Marcelo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Marcelo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Madden's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marcelo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Madden swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Marcelo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marcelo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Madden, who protects the arm well.
Marcelo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Madden manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Marcelo is pressing down on Madden's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Marcelo wants to sweep here but Madden controlling him for the moment.

Madden throws a big right hand that misses.
Marcelo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Madden manages to get himself to full guard.
Marcelo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Marcelo is looking to pass into half guard but Madden pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Madden is in guard.
Madden trying to control but Marcelo is working from the bottom.
Marcelo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Madden defends it easily.
Marcelo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Madden gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Marcelo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Madden wants to control from the top but Marcelo keeps moving.
Marcelo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Marcelo is trying for a kimura here. Madden looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Marcelo wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jorginho Marcelo!
