The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gates doesn't manage to clinch there - Taylor circles away.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gates checks a leg kick.
Taylor throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gates drops his hands momentarily and Taylor takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Gates is looking to clinch but Taylor is avoiding it.

Taylor lands a left and a right that send Gates crashing to the mat, dazed. Taylor thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Gates is rocked!

It looks like Ron Gates has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Taylor moves in close and cracks Gates with a massive right hand! Gates, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Taylor!
