Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Estevao Pessoa (ranked 3967 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rod Huricane (ranked 3440 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Estevao Pessoa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rod Huricane!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pessoa shoots in and drives through. Huricane sprawls well.
Pessoa fails with a takedown attempt.
A little jabbing left from Huricane on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Huricane looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Huricane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pessoa has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pessoa there as he acknowledges the shot.

Huricane moves into the clinch.
Pessoa tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Estevao Pessoa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pessoa is trying to pull guard but Huricane turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Pessoa definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Huricane is stalling here.

Huricane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pessoa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Huricane tries to avoid it but Pessoa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Huricane to the ground. Huricane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Huricane closes the distance and clinches.

Pessoa fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Huricane breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Huricane lands a nice shot that snaps Pessoa's head back.

Huricane clinches.

Pessoa pulls guard successfully.
Pessoa is pulling down on Huricane's head. It's preventing any offense from Huricane, at least for the moment.
Pessoa keeping full guard, as Huricane tries to pass.
Pessoa has his hands on Huricane's head, controlling the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pessoa is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Huricane throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Pessoa throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Huricane works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Huricane will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Pessoa takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Pessoa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Huricane tries to avoid it but Pessoa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Huricane to the ground. Huricane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Huricane clinches.
Pessoa jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Huricane walks away with a smile on his face. Pessoa gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Huricane lands a jab.

Huricane moves into range and clinches up with Pessoa.
Pessoa jumps guard but Huricane stands there with Pessoa around his waist. Pessoa gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Pessoa tries to pull guard but Huricane holds him up against the cage and eventually Pessoa drops back down to his feet.

Huricane breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pessoa tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Huricane manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Huricane moves into the clinch.
Pessoa tries to pull guard but Huricane holds him up against the cage and eventually Pessoa drops back down to his feet.
Pessoa fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Pessoa is trying to pull guard but Huricane turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Huricane lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Pessoa backwards.
Pessoa is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Huricane to keep the fight standing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pessoa tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Huricane smiles and moves away.
Pessoa is breathing heavily.
Pessoa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Huricane counters with a huge left! Pessoa is in big trouble! He's backing up but Huricane isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Pessoa from any more damage. A dominating finish by Huricane!
