The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cyrus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cyrus looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Garza pushes Cyrus up against the cage in a clinch.
Garza is stalling here.
Cyrus is looking to break free of the clinch but Garza has double underhooks.

Cyrus jumps guard but Garza stands there with Cyrus around his waist. Cyrus gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Garza manages to break the clinch.
Cyrus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Garza sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cyrus somewhat.

Garza lands a head kick. Cyrus smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Garza shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Garza showed some decent athleticism there.

Cyrus shoots for a takedown but Garza saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Cyrus has a takedown stuffed.
It looked like Garza was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Cyrus.

Garza clinches up with Cyrus and pushes him back against the cage.

Garza stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Garza wants it to stay on the feet.

Garza shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cyrus is trying to defend but Garza finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Garza seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
