Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lynwood Jones (ranked 23059 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Sullivan (ranked 5786 p4p, 525 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sullivan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jones did well to prevent Sullivan getting side control.
Sullivan wants to pass to mount but Jones is defending the position.

Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sullivan walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Mac Sullivan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Jones shoots for a takedown but Sullivan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sullivan avoids it really well and circles away.
Sullivan shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sullivan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Sullivan. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Sullivan is trying to maintain a safe position but Jones gets an underhook and turns Sullivan into the cage.

Jones has Sullivan pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jones pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sullivan tumbling to the mat - Jones dives into Sullivan's guard.

Sullivan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jones has gone for a leg lock! Sullivan slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jones's guard.

Jones has his foot on Sullivan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sullivan works his way back into a safe position though.

Well Sullivan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
