The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fertit misses with the combination.

Bouvier moves into range and clinches up with Fertit.

Bouvier's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vito Fertit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bouvier closes the distance and clinches.
Fertit throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bouvier blocks it with crossed arms.
Fertit can't break the clinch.
Bouvier wants to get back to striking at distance but Fertit won't allow it.

Fertit breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fertit throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Bouvier stumbling backwards into the cage! Bouvier bounces back off the cage towards Fertit, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Fertit lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Fertit celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
