PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Varela (ranked 2776 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shahwali Hussainzada (ranked 2922 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hussainzada manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Varela on his heels. He'll look to pass Varela 's guard now, I'm sure.
Hussainzada sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Hussainzada stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Varela swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Varela wants to stand and escape but Hussainzada is having none of it.
Varela throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Hussainzada trying to control the position from guard on top but Varela is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Varela looking for a triangle here. Hussainzada is fighting it but it looks tight! Varela pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Hussainzada is tapping out - this one is all over!
