Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Emory Knuckles (ranked 8531 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul O Donoghue (ranked 5956 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knuckles shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
O Donoghue throws a leg kick
and Knuckles counters with a series of strikes. O Donoghue will be more careful next time no doubt.
Knuckles ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
O Donoghue pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from O Donoghue is defended easily by Knuckles.
Knuckles scores with a jab.
O Donoghue tries to close the distance and clinch but Knuckles swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knuckles keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Knuckles really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Emory Knuckles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knuckles will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Despite the aggression on O Donoghue's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Knuckles shoots in looking for a takedown. O Donoghue tries to sprawl out of it but Knuckles keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. O Donoghue manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A nice combination there by Knuckles.

Knuckles sneaks out the side door and pushes O Donoghue away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Knuckles is trying to drag O Donoghue to the mat but O Donoghue just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
O Donoghue is pressed up against the cage. Knuckles has hold of a leg and is looking to drag O Donoghue down to the mat. O Donoghue avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

O Donoghue changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Knuckles tries to avoid it but O Donoghue manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Knuckles to the ground. Knuckles escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

O Donoghue goes for a double leg but Knuckles avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Knuckles continues to drive forward.

Knuckles tightens his grip and picks O Donoghue up, before dumping him to the ground. O Donoghue manages to land in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Knuckles accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Knuckles throws a sloppy strike and O Donoghue has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Knuckles is forced to tap! Great BJJ from O Donoghue!
