Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rogelio Walton (ranked 6328 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Davis Jr (ranked 5962 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Davis Jr will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walton tries to sprawl but Davis Jr drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Davis Jr thows a huge punch but Walton dodges it nicely.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Walton moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Davis Jr shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Walton's guard.

Walton wriggles free and stands up.
Davis Jr wants to clinch up but Walton keeps it at a distance.

Davis Jr drives through and clinches with Walton against the cage.

Davis Jr is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Walton can't fight it off and eventually Davis Jr manages to take the fight to the floor. Walton looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Walton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davis Jr tries to avoid it but Walton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davis Jr to the ground. Davis Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Davis Jr misses with a head shot. Walton uses the momentum to regain guard.

Walton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Davis Jr doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Davis Jr manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Davis Jr is pushing down on Walton's leg trying to pass to half guard. Walton is fighting to maintain full guard but Davis Jr has managed to sneak the leg through.
Davis Jr is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Davis Jr decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Walton enables Davis Jr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Walton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
