Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mr Four (ranked 5685 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rush Dixon (ranked 5859 p4p, 0 weight class). Rush Dixon has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rush Dixon!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dixon clinches up with Four and pushes him back against the cage.
Four missing with knees to the body.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Dixon is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Four can't fight it off and eventually Dixon manages to take the fight to the floor. Four looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Four wants to improve his position but Dixon is controlling well.

Dixon working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Dixon fails to land with a series of punches.

Four attempts a counter takedown but Dixon avoids it well and moves away.

Dixon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Four did well to prevent Dixon getting side control.

Four tries to roll over but Dixon keeps him under control.
Dixon seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The fighters are battling for position here. Four manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Rush Dixon dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Four shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dixon but Dixon pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Four has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Dixon is trying to keep an underhook but Four manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Four is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rush Dixon has got the better of the ground game so far.

Four drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dixon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dixon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dixon!

Four tries to bench press Dixon off him but Dixon keeps the position.
Dixon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Four keeps working.

Four tries to buck Dixon off but Dixon is having none of it.
Dixon throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Four is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dixon connects with a decent elbow.
