Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antony Duke (ranked 7521 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tye Wreak (ranked 5854 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Antony Duke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tye Wreak!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wreak shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Duke working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Wreak.
Wreak sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Wreak throwing strikes but missing.
Wreak controlling from the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wreak slips nicely into half guard.
Duke desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Duke really is a fat lump.

Wreak stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Wreak looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Wreak wants to stand up but Duke is controlling the position.

Duke controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Wreak trying to pass the guard but Duke defending well.
Duke is trying to control but can't.
Duke is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wreak wants to stand up but Duke is controlling the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Wreak shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Duke as he avoids it easily.
Wreak swinging wildly here.

Wreak rushes Duke and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Duke slows down the pace here.
Wreak tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wreak can't break the clinch.

Duke breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Duke looks for a takedown but Wreak sprawls well.

Wreak dives in and scores a takedown into Duke's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wreak won't allow Duke to sweep him here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Wreak wants to pass the guard but Duke is keeping the position.
Wreak is fighting to break Duke's control of his arms but Duke is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tye Wreak dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Duke has his takedown stuffed
and Wreak counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Wreak has closed the distance and engaged Duke in a clinch.
Stalling in the clinch from Wreak.
Duke looking for a takedown.
Wreak is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Duke to keep the fight standing.
Duke tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antony Duke. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wreak keeps control of Duke as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Duke has Wreak pressed against the cage, preventing Wreak from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Duke escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Wreak fails with the takedown.

Wreak rushes Duke and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Wreak is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Duke is defending well for now.
Wreak tries to pull guard but Duke won't allow it.
Wreak changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Duke fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Wreak closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Duke to the mat! Duke manages to get full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wreak would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Duke is pulling down on Wreak's head to control his posture.
Duke looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wreak is one step ahead there.
Duke looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Duke wants to sweep but no luck.
Duke keeping moving, preventing Wreak from controlling successfully.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Wreak forces Duke back against the cage and clinches.
Wreak tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Duke just stands there and leans against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Duke tries to work over Wreak's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A frustrated look appears on Duke's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Duke looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Wreak tries to pull guard but Duke won't allow it.
Wreak prevents Duke from breaking the clinch.
Wreak can't find room to land a body shot as Duke controls the action.
Wreak wants to break free but Duke has control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Wreak gets control of Duke's arms and successfully pulls guard. Wreak will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Duke wants to control from the top but Wreak keeps moving.
Wreak wants to stand and escape but Duke is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tye Wreak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Wreak throws a head kick but Duke moves out of range.
Duke uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wreak.
Duke is looking for a counter combo.
Wreak scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Wreak keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Wreak fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Duke, pushing him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wreak prevents Duke from breaking the clinch.
Duke has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Duke blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Duke breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Wreak feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wreak trying to control the position from guard on top but Duke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wreak has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Duke throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wreak works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Duke wants to control from the top but Wreak keeps moving.
Wreak looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Duke postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Wreak is trying to keep Duke in close.
Duke postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Wreak wants to control but Duke passes easily into half guard.
Duke is stalling here. Wreak is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Duke seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Wreak has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Wreak wants to control but Duke is keeping him busy.
Duke is looking for a sweep.
Wreak lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Duke sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Wreak is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Duke sees it coming and defends easily.
Wreak takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Duke wants to improve his position but Wreak is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wreak trying to control from half guard but Duke is working away.
Duke keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Wreak is looking to take a break and control but Duke is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tye Wreak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wreak has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
