Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alan Markov (ranked 3340 p4p, 269 weight class) and Minkki Jakku (ranked 4075 p4p, 304 weight class). Markov comes to the cage accompanied by Jay Bling - Aye. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alan Markov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Minkki Jakku!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jakku moves into the clinch successfully.
Jakku wants a takedown but no success here.
Markov is pressed up against the cage. Jakku has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Markov down to the mat. Markov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Markov avoids the head kick by Jakku.

Jakku closes this distance looking for a takedown but Markov circles away.
Alan Markov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Minkki Jakku.

Jakku closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Markov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Jakku changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Markov tries to avoid it but Jakku manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Markov to the ground. Markov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Markov fires out a quick counter leg kick but Jakku just manages to avoid it.

Jakku is trying hard to land a takedown here. Markov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jakku takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Jakku feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jakku tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jakku has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jakku wants to lay and pray for a moment but Markov keeps working.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jakku looks up at the clock and then as Markov takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jakku smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Jakku is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Markov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Minkki Jakku showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Jakku throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Markov's waist but Markov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jakku off to one side.
