The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Work shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Crisp counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Crisp.
Crisp is stalling in the full guard.
Crisp in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Crisp pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Work is keeping the position for now.

Crisp got a little sloppy there for a moment and Work has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Crisp has managed to get both his arms back between Work's legs - danger averted.
Crisp slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crisp remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Crisp is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Work will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Work is breathing heavily.
Crisp lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Crisp throwing strikes here but Work is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Crisp misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Work really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
