The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ianin shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ianin showed some decent athleticism there.
Thompson trying to hold on to Ianin's head to control him but Ianin postures up.
Ianin wants to pass to mount but Thompson is defending the position.

Thompson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Thompson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Ianin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thompson on the ground.

Ianin wants the takedown. Thompson is fighting it off but Ianin persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Thompson's guard against the cage.
