The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendelssohn with a lazy takedown attempt
and Zee counters with a stiff right hand.
Mendelssohn fails to land the takedown.

Zee shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mendelssohn manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Zee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mendelssohn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Zee slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mendelssohn is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Zee frees his head nicely. Oh but Mendelssohn has switched to an armbar! Zee is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
