Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Baron Geisler (ranked 3616 p4p, 404 weight class) and Tony Miyazaki (ranked 6771 p4p, 602 weight class). Tony Miyazaki has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Baron Geisler's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baron Geisler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Miyazaki!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miyazaki with a lazy takedown attempt
and Geisler counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Miyazaki throws a combination that misses
and Geisler counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Miyazaki gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Geisler cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Geisler stuns Miyazaki with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Miyazaki closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Miyazaki lands in his opponent's guard.
Geisler pulls Miyazaki in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miyazaki looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Geisler keeping moving, preventing Miyazaki from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Geisler has control of Miyazaki's left arm, preventing Miyazaki from doing any damage.
My spies in 3Band MMA ($700/week) inform me that Miyazaki has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Miyazaki pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Geisler is keeping the position for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Miyazaki closes the distance but Geisler moves to the side
and Geisler counters with a leg kick.
Miyazaki throws a sloppy head kick
and Miyazaki takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Geisler punishes Miyazaki's body with a nice straight punch.
Miyazaki takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Miyazaki shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Geisler counter with a right hand.

Miyazaki is rocked!
Baron Geisler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Miyazaki.
Geisler is stalking Miyazaki. Miyazaki circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Geisler, and it's lights out! Miyazaki really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Baron Geisler!
A relieved looking Baron Geisler thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
