These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gavin ducks right into an uppercut from Cracker.

It looks like Jason Gavin has been cut.
Gavin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cracker.
Gavin shoots in looking for a takedown but Cracker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gavin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gavin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cracker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cracker lands with a good body shot.
Cracker looks to throw the jab but Gavin is out of range.
Cracker connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Gavin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cracker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gavin avoids the body shot from Cracker.
Cracker comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Gavin shoots in for a takedown but Cracker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Cracker was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Cracker sends Gavin crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Cracker is motioning to the referee to let Gavin up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Gavin is rocked!
Cracker sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Gavin's defenses. It connects perfectly with Gavin's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
