Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Eldridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ric Flair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flair comes into a darkened arena with his song building. ric flair theme song kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ric Flair!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flair fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Eldridge sprawls well initially but Flair persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Flair wants to take a breather but Eldridge is having none of it.
Flair with the ground and pound but Eldridge uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Eldridge wants to sweep here but Flair controlling him for the moment.

Flair unloads with some shots from mount but Eldridge bucks and avoids them well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Flair decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Eldridge's guard.

and Flair counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Eldridge is on top in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Flair can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close second round but I would say that Michael Eldridge will probably get the nod.
