Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacques Deupreaux!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mc Thompson throws a series of punches but Deupreaux moves out of range.
Mc Thompson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Mc Thompson is breathing heavily.
Mc Thompson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Deupreaux.
Deupreaux throws a lazy right hand but Mc Thompson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Deupreaux feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mc Thompson sprawling to the canvas! Mc Thompson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Deupreaux finish him?!
Mc Thompson is rocked!
It looks like James Mc Thompson has been cut.

Mc Thompson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Deupreaux.
Oh Mc Thompson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Deupreaux misses with a straight right.
Mc Thompson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Deupreaux throws a hook but Mc Thompson avoids it easily.
Mc Thompson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Deupreaux.
Mc Thompson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Mc Thompson seems to have got his legs back now.
Deupreaux throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mc Thompson.
Deupreaux throws a jab when Mc Thompson was well out of range.
Deupreaux darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Mc Thompson's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Deupreaux before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jacques Deupreaux!
