PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jone Jens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Gotti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gotti comes into a darkened arena with his song building. till i collapse kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Gotti!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jens closes the distance and clinches up with Gotti, looking for a takedown. Jens pushes Gotti against the cage but Gotti circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gotti stuffs the takedown attempt from Jens. Jens gets slowly back to his feet.
Gotti tries to clinch there but Jens circles away.
Gotti moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Gotti tries to clinch but Jens moves out of range.
Gotti tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jens paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jens closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gotti circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jone Jens. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gotti stuffs the takedown.
Jens tries for a takedown but Gotti sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jens shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gotti as he jumps to the side.
Jens stuffs the takedown attempt from Gotti. Gotti gets slowly back to his feet.
Gotti fails to land the takedown.

Jens gets caught flat footed, as Gotti shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Gotti looking to sit in guard and control but Jens gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Gotti working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Jens has passed into half guard!
Gotti wants to get back to full guard.

Gotti has one foot on Jens's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Gotti tries to clinch there but Jens circles away.
Gotti bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Jens shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Gotti counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gotti.
Jens is breathing heavily.

Gotti has picked Jens up - he's going for a ride! Gotti dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Jens looking for subs from the bottom but Gotti mounts him!

Gotti is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

and Jens counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jens.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gotti wants to stand and escape but Jens is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Jens counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jens.
Gotti looking for a sweep. Not yet Gotti, not yet.
Gotti is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Jens drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gotti looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gotti looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gotti!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gotti is trying to ground and pound but Jens uses the momentary lack of control by Gotti to regain half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Gotti is keen to just control but Jens is a slippery customer.

Gotti trying to pass the guard but Jens defending well.
Jens might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Gotti escapes and gets back to his feet.
Gotti shoots in but Jens avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gotti fails with an attempt to clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gotti tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Jens counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jone Jens dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Gotti fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jens, pushing him back against the cage.
Jens prevents the takedown attempt.
Jens gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gotti.
Gotti misses with some punches.
Jens jumps guard but Gotti stands there with Jens around his waist. Jens gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Gotti creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jens's defenses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gotti tries to stall but Jens uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Gotti takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gotti gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Jens has Gotti pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jens pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gotti tumbling to the mat - Jens dives into Gotti's guard.

Gotti is kicking away at Jens from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Jens grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a hell hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Gotti trying to push Jens off... Gotti taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
