Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sab Matharu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). West is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Remember The Name. Sab Matharu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West tries to clinch there but Matharu circles away.
Matharu blocks the body kick.
Matharu shoots in for a takedown but West shows good takedown defense.

Matharu looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for West!
West wants to control but Matharu is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
West is desperately trying to improve his position but Matharu has a good base and remains in mount.

It looks like Shane West has been cut.

West tries to hold on but Matharu postures up.

West takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Matharu pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

That has opened up Shane West's cut even more.
Matharu prevents West from getting the reversal.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if West can do anything to dispel that myth.

Shane West's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Shane West's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
