The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buctoat throws a nice looking combination but Poole bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Poole let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Buctoat throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Poole.

Poole closes the distance and clinches.
Buctoat has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Poole avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Buctoat goes for a takedown in the clinch but Poole prevents it.
We've been hearing reports that Buctoat has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Poole ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Poole no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Poole is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Buctoat defends well.

Poole fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Buctoat manages to avoid it.

Buctoat leaves Poole with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Eli Buctoat will probably get the nod.

Poole fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Buctoat is out of range.
Buctoat moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Buctoat tries to close the distance and clinch up but Poole swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Poole stalks Buctoat and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Buctoat's face. Buctoat staggers backwards, shaken.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eli Buctoat will probably get the nod.
