Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kassius Halo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charlie Cross!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halo connects with a single shot there.
Halo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cross doesn't seem bothered though.
Cross keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cross throws out a counter right but Halo avoids it with no problem.
Halo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kassius Halo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Halo needs to keep his hands up - Cross had a free shot at his head there.
Cross throws a jab when Halo was well out of range.
A lazy left from Halo finds it's target.
Halo misses with a body shot.
Cross wants to counter with a clinch but Halo pushes him away.
Halo slips under a jab from Cross.
We've been hearing reports that Halo has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Cross throws a shot to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cross. Halo does a little dance to reset his feet.

Halo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cross can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Halo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cross defends it well.
Halo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Halo scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Cross wants to control but Halo is keeping busy.
Halo is nestled in close to Cross, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Halo missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Cross really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Halo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cross trying to control from the bottom.
Halo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Halo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Halo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cross is trying to control but can't.
Halo missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Halo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Halo looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Cross has hold of Halo's hands but Halo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Halo works his way into side control.

Halo has hold of Cross's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Cross tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Halo cranks the arm and Cross screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Cross, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Kassius Halo!
In his post fight interview, Kassius Halo gave a big smile as he said 'There isn't a fighter alive that I cannot make submit or go to sleep on the mat. There's no guessing, i will take you down.'.
