The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Shazlee throws a lazy head kick

and Taranaki holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Al Shazlee has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Taranaki clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Al Shazlee is looking for the choke from the back position but Taranaki is controlling his hands well.

Al Shazlee is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Taranaki defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Al Shazlee is working for a rear naked choke. Taranaki is not defending it well and Al Shazlee has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Taranaki refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Taranaki's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
