Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Rios (ranked 18610 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krejzi Kure (ranked 4638 p4p, 0 weight class). Kure is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: BIG SHUG - who's hard. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Adam Rios!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Krejzi Kure!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kure looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Rios!
Kure postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Rios is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kure asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Rios is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Rios wants to control but Kure postures up.

Kure is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rios is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Rios manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rios wants to get back to his feet.
Kure passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Rios!
Kure has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rios's face.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rios is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kure is landing with some decent strikes but Rios is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Rios wants to hold on but Kure pushes him away.
Rios is desperately trying to improve his position but Kure has a good base and remains in mount.
Rios gets back to half guard.
Rios moves into full guard.
Rios avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Kure must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kure throws an elbow that misses. Rios uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kure's guard. Nice move by Rios!

Rios sitting in guard here, content to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rios postures up.
Rios wants to control from the top but Kure keeps moving.
Kure is controlling Rios's posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rios drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rios jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Rios is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Rios trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rios being controlled here momentarily.

Rios gets to his feet. Kure looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Rios keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rios has his takedown stuffed
and Kure counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rios keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kure throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rios sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kure drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Rios lands a jab.
Kure misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rios.
Rios throws a hook but Kure blocks it.
Rios throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kure on the side of the head.


It looks like Krejzi Kure has been cut.
Nice cross by Rios.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rios fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kure looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rios connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kure momentarily.
Rios tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kure throws a hook to the side of Rios's head but Rios sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rios throwing a counter right hand but Kure manages to avoid it.
Kure throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Rios fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kure, pushing him back against the cage.
Kure changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rios fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kure works the jab nicely.
Rios jabs Kure right on the nose. Kure blinks but takes it well.
A right-left combo lands from Kure.
Rios lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.


Kure is rocked!
Kure throws a lazy uppercut
and Rios counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kure is still on wobbly legs! Can Rios finish him?
Rios drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Kure right on the button. Kure goes down! Rios follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Rios gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adam Rios!
