Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matheus Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Kanye west - Amazing as his entrance music. Matheus Silva acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Aldo misses with a series of wild punches.
Horrible takedown by Aldo or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.
Aldo tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Aldo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Aldo to the mat! Aldo manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aldo is working an open guard so Silva takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Aldo wants to advance to full mount but Silva doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

and Silva counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Silva.
Aldo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Silva fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Aldo is breathing heavily.

Silva drives through with a takedown into guard.

Silva's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aldo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Aldo wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.
Silva wants to control from the top but Aldo keeps moving.

Aldo is looking to sinch up a triangle. Silva throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Aldo's body to avoid the submission. Aldo has instead reached around Silva's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Aldo arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
